TAM 205 is a hard red winter wheat variety developed by Texas A & M University and licensed to AGSECO in 2019. TAM 205 offers resistance to leaf rust, stripe rust, stem rust, wheat streak mosaic virus, soil-borne mosaic virus, spindle streak mosaic virus, and Fusarium head blight (scab). The baking and milling quality is very good, and it is an excellent choice for whole wheat products as well as traditional pan bread. TAM 205 has large seeds and high test weight. It covers the ground quickly in the fall and may be utilized for grain only or for heavy grazing plus grain production systems.
